The Blacklight 88 Speed ski set is the right choice for demanding ski touring enthusiasts who want to stay light and efficient when heading out in challenging terrain. This set consists of the Blacklight 88 ski, the Blacklight Long Travel binding, and matching skins from POMOCA: The Blacklight 88 ski weighs barely 1,080 grams (at 165 cm) with a waist of 88 mm, making it the lightest all-round ski from DYNAFIT that is an impressive easy-handling partner for all snow conditions. This ski has a 100% "UD" carbon top layer. UD is the abbreviation to describe the "uni" or one-directional arrangement of the fibers. Compared to classic carbon construction, UD carbon lends higher tensile strength and greater resilience while maintaining a lower density. The Blacklight 88 has a 100% premium Paulownia wood core. Thanks to its 3D construction, the ski lowers its total weight to reduce its swing weight in front of and behind the binding area to essentially reduce the overall weight of the ski. You get extremely stable ski handling despite its low weight. In order to guarantee the best possible power transfer on the ski, the Blacklight is constructed with a full ABS sidewall. In addition, the base has a special racing grind for even more speed. To go along with it, the Blacklight Long Travel binding offers speed on the climb and knows how to perform impressively on the descent. This binding is a 420-gram, minimalistic ski touring binding with brakes that combines the characteristics of a climbing and weight-optimized binding with the advantages of a classic ski touring binding. With its perfect bayonet positive lock at the heel unit, an extremely high power transfer from binding to ski is achieved for increased responsiveness and downhill performance. The Step-In Side Towers make entry into the toe piece more than 30% easier. Meaning fast as lightening you are fully and easily ready to get going. At the same time, it increases lateral stability on the descent. The binding has a large adjustment range (50 cm) at the heel unit for fitting various boot lengths. It has two riser heights you can operate quickly and easily with your pole. The binding's lateral release value can be fully adjusted from DIN 5 to 12. The vertical release is fixed. For a bit more safety on ice or crust, ski crampons can also be attached.
