Price.com Partners With Locally to Extend Shopping Options

Price.com Disrupts Traditional Online Retail Model by Partnering with Locally to Help Consumers Find and Buy Products at Nearby Brick and Mortar Stores as Easily as Buying Online

October 22, 2019 (9 am ET/6 am PT) SAN FRANCISCO – Price.com , the most advanced product matching platform, today announced a partnership with Locally to connect consumers with premium brands and in-stock products at their favorite local shops. Price.com deploys innovative technology to bring all shopping options to users: new, used, refurbished, rental, unbranded – and now – local brick and mortar stores. Unlike price comparison sites, Price.com makes it easy for consumers to shop across all marketplaces with one search.

Price.com offers both a consumer experience and an enterprise solution, bringing superior matching technology that benefits shoppers and businesses. With proprietary algorithms using natural language processing (NLP), visual search and unsupervised classification techniques, Price.com can find the most relevant product matches – handling both structured (SKU identifiers) and unstructured data.

“We’re excited to partner with Price.com to offer shoppers a convenient way to buy locally,” said Locally President Mike Massey. “Together, we can give shoppers the option of buying from local merchants with the same ease as buying online.”

● For Consumers: The Price.com extension is free and available on major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox. This easy to use tool searches thousands of stores in seconds to provide consumers all their shopping options so they can make the most informed choice with maximum savings. A Beta version of search is also available to use on the Price.com site.

● For Businesses: Price.com for Enterprise enables businesses to make better merchandising decisions by leveraging product and price matching APIs across more than 3 billion pre-computed product relationships and is used by online retailers, marketplaces and logistics companies such as Goodwill, Macsales.com, Slyce Technologies and more.

Locally enables thousands of stores to present their in-store selections to nearby shoppers who are shopping online, and provides last-mile fulfillment options like in-store pickup and same-day delivery. When consumers use the Price.com extension, they will continue to see comparisons from thousands of merchants, but will now also see options to finish their purchase at a store near them. The first brand to incorporate Price.com’s Locally integration will be Brooks Running, with countless additional Locally brands and stores to follow.
